apple m1 optimized apps list

Are you looking for the Apple M1 optimized apps list? Then you’ve landed at the right place. Here we’ve curated the list of M1 compatible apps and games from which you can check whether or not your favorites apps and games in mac app store are supported by the new Apple M1 chip.

With Apple’s ambitious move to replace Intel chips with the new M1 chips, a lot of apps are left behind and made incompatible on new Macs. Apple has already released its new Macbooks integrated with the brand new M1 chips which showcase a much-improved performance. So they will continue to use this chip in the upcoming devices as well.

But the fact is that all previously compatible applications are not yet optimized for the new Apple silicon chip which makes the users slightly annoying. Though almost every app will become compatible in the future, it may take time. Also, some apps will not work with the new chip as it has a different architecture. So, in this article, we’ll share with you a list of Apple M1 optimized apps that works on new Macs.

Which Apps will Work on M1 Macbooks?

Applications usually work on a device based on the OS and system hardware architecture. That means applications running on the same OS may not work with devices that have a different system architecture. A classic example is the case of Intel and AMD computers. Some apps working on Intel-based PC on Windows may not work with AMD-based computers running on the same OS.

Similarly, Mac apps build on Intel’s x86 architecture won’t necessarily work or natively support ARM-based M1 Chips. Although you may find some apps run on both devices you might find them buggy and laggy. To make their apps Apple silicon ready, developers will roll out updates in the future. But since it is a relatively new Apple hardware, it will take some time for the developers to fine-tune their apps and put them in the M1 compatible apps list. The case is not different in the case of M1 optimized games as well.
