When can we expect the launch of the iPhone 13 series? The wait is over we can expect the release in September this year. Before this, Apple has to gain certifications from regulators around the world. The company has already started this process ahead of the launch. According to Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), a new listing has been noticed with the model numbers for the devices. Details include seven devices with model numbers A2628, A2630, A2634, A2635, A2640, A2643, and A2645.
The above listing contains only 7 but usually, it was supposed to a total of 8 devices since Apple submits the US and international model numbers for its devices. This might points that one of the devices will not be released internationally this year. The main reason for this could be iPhone 12 mini did not do well so the company might choose not to let out the upcoming iPhone 13 mini globally.
This time the notch is going to be smaller. The company has been holding the notch for three generations now and this change could assume that Apple may remove it soon. The reduction of notch screens results in an effective increase in screen-to-body ratio and it also enhances the positive visual experience. Since its initiation, this is the first time Apple is modifying the notch.
The models will be moving into a trimmed down notch and this is achieved by a single module consisting of an infrared flood illuminator, sensor, and dot projector. The die size of the VSCEL chip used in the Face-ID system will reduce by 40 to 50 percent.
iPhone 13 Pro series is going to use 120Hz LTPO screens from LG and Samsung. This technology supports higher refresh rates and could greatly reduce screen power consumption. It can support an intelligent refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. A screen refresh rate above 60Hz will be achieved by the iPhone for the first time. This means a more energy-efficient ProMotion screen.
Production of these panels has already begun by Samsung. This superior display technology produced by Samsung and LG will reduce the power consumption from 15 to 20 percent on the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro models thereby saving a decent amount of battery life.

The new A15 Bionic chipset developed by TSMC will be used by iPhone 13 series. The production of the chipset has already begun by TSMC. A14 Bionic is similar to this chipset which is based on a 5nm manufacturing process. So Hopefully, this chipset brings battery improvements and a major performance to the upcoming iPhones.
Apple will be introducing bigger batteries to the iPhone 13 models. As per a Chinese source, iPhone 13 mini will have a 2,406 mAh cell, the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro will get a 3,095 mAh battery, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max will come with a 4352mAh capacity. We can just do a comparison with the forerunner iPhone 12 with a 2,227mAh battery iPhone 12 and 12 Pro with a 2,815 mAh battery, and the top-end iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 3,687 mAh cell.
Apple will increase the storage to 1TB on the upcoming iPhone 13 Pro models. As per the leaks, this change will apply to the high-end models only. Presently storage on the iPhone 12 models is 512GB. So this could be a great change and be a welcome change for iPhone users.
We could also see improvements on the connectivity side as well. Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X60 5G modem will be presumably integrated as the companies have collaborated.
